In Nevada a real estate salesperson license costs $225 in the fees read on official pages: $125 for the salesperson license application to the Nevada Real Estate Division and $100 for the salesperson combination exam with Pearson VUE, both taken from the candidate handbook. That is 13th from the cheapest of the 20 states priced here, slightly above the median of $203. The education requirement is 120 hours, which the handbook says includes forty-five hours of real estate principles and forty-five hours of real estate law, eighteen of them on Nevada law. A fingerprint card is also required, but its processing fee is not stated in the handbook, so it is not counted. Exam results must be dated within the last twelve months when you apply. The Division's own site could not be read, so the renewal fee, the license term and continuing education are not on this page.
The sequence
Nevada's handbook lays the process out in a fixed order. First come the 120 prelicensing hours. Then the salesperson combination exam with Pearson VUE, which covers the national and Nevada portions together. Last, the application to the Real Estate Division on its salesperson form, with the fee and a fingerprint card. The exam result has a shelf life: a passing result must be dated within the last twelve months when the application is filed, so a candidate who passes and then waits a year is back at the test center.
The fees we could read
Pearson VUE lists the salesperson combination exam at $100 for a sitting of four hours, charged for every attempt. The same handbook gives the Division's salesperson application fee as $125. The fingerprint card is processed by the Department of Public Safety or an approved vendor, and its price is not given in the handbook; plan for it, but it is not in the total above or in the calculator.

The handbook names two blocks of the education: forty-five hours of real estate principles and forty-five hours of real estate law, eighteen of which cover Nevada law. It does not break down the remaining hours, and they were not read elsewhere, so ask the school how it fills them. At 15 hours a week the full program takes about 8 weeks.
What this page does not cover
The Nevada Real Estate Division and the state legislature's site blocked automated reading, so the renewal fee, the length of the license term and the continuing education requirement could not be checked. Rather than repeat figures from secondary sites, the page leaves them out, and the calculator shows no renewal cost for Nevada. For a state where every renewal figure is known, see California, which also requires a long course, or the national comparison.
